Day 58 - Cannon Beach to Vancouver

Lots of snow in Naselle. Makes for some nervous road conditions, as there's been a strong thaw-freeze overnight.

This moving bridge comes in very handy in the case of wash outs.

A very eerie Christmas tree emerges from the clear cut lands of south west Washington.

Even the ducks look cold at Potlatch Park. Emma didn't even want to play football.

Finding the perfect spot.

A little ice runs through it.

The sun sets over lovely Port Townsend.

And the Olympic mountains make an appearance in an otherwise drab day.

A versatile "boat rack".

Not sure about "new head" these ones seem a little used.

3 birds meet at the dock ....

A beauty of a Pacific Northwest sunset from the the Port Townsend ferry.

Dining al fresco in the works yard at Fort Casey.

The sky lights up as the storm clears.

We end our trip with a coffee in Fairhaven - where it all started 58 days ago. Like many other coastal towns, the Fairhavens are all decked out for Christmas - it was Halloween decor when we made our first pit stop.

This sign for pizza and fish and chips could have been spotted anywhere along our route now travelled - however there is no confusion that you are in Vancouver when you spot the Dharma Doggie Daycare.

Our own little neighbourhood does a pretty good job on the Christmas theme too. Our creative neighbours have even sprinkled a little snow and ice for good measure.
